The nominees have just been announced for the upcoming British Animation Awards and guess whos in the mix!

Yes we are delighted to have been nominated in both the Childrens Choice and Best Childrens Series categories.

Good luck everyone!

Kidscreen New York 2012

When the bosses announced they were off to New York for a week to “work” its fair to say we were dubious about exactly how much work you could get done in the City that?Never Sleeps…….

But it appears their story checked out, they were attending the Annual Kidscreen Summit which is renowned as the most important event in the kids entertainment calendar and ok they could’ve tried to get lost amidst the 1500 delegates from over 800 countries across the globe but they’re from Boulder, they were always going to stand out from the crowd!

And stand out they did with 3 nominations and subsequently 3 wins for the Amazing World of Gumball in the Annual Kidscreen Awards!

The nominations came in the Best Animated Series, Best Animation 2012 and Viewers Choice Best Kids Programme 2012 categories and it was a clean sweep with wins in each!

Left to right – Anne Tweedy, Daniel Lennard (Vice President of Original Series and Development at Turner Media) and Rob Cullen

So it was a succesful week all round, the Gumball juggernaut keeps hurtling along and the bosses have photographic evidence that they werent just shopping and checking out the sights in the Big Apple!

The IFTAs 2012

The stars were out last Saturday and twinkling in the vicinity of the Dublin Convention Centre for the Irish Film and Television Awards 2012.

With a nomination for us in the Childrens/Youth Category it meant one thing …..The Boulder Crew were gonna have to scrub up and get on the glad rags!

The Boulder Boys, looking sharp!

The nominees Pete and Anne with Helen

Unfortunately we didnt walk away with the award which went to RTE 2’s The Importance of Being Whatever but those Boulderites in attendance did walk away with
raging hangovers, slightly damaged dignity and a slew of celebrity photos, McGann you know who Im talking about!!

The Annie Awards 2012

Very proud we are to report that Gumball scooped another statuette at the prestigious Annie Awards which took place in LA last Saturday night.

Gumball came top of the class in the Best Animated Television Production category which was no mean feat when youre up against industry giants such as Nickelodeon and Dream Works!

Well done to everyone involved! Good job!

The Annies 2012

Its true to say that everyone here at Boulder is extremely proud of The Amazing World of Gumball and still find it ridiculously entertaining even after 18 long months of painstaking work on it but self praise is no praise and thats why we are extra excited to announce yet more award nominations for our favourite cat and co!

The show has been awarded with a staggering 4 nominations in the prestigious 39th Annual Annie Awards 2012 which are animations highest honours and the categories are:

Best Animated Television Production – Children

Best Directing in a Television Production

Best Music in a Television Production

Best Voice Acting in a Television Production

The ceremony will be held in Royce Hall Los Angeles on the 4th of February 2012 and while we wish all the nominees the best of luck we really hope that The Amazing World of Gumball can replicate its success at the recent Childrens Baftas where we scooped awards in both nominated categories!

Good luck Gumball!

Boulder Media making News!

We’ve been very excited and proud here at Boulder Media since the news of Gumballs double Childrens Bafta win on Sunday and it seems we’re not the only ones ……

With many mentions online and articles in todays Irish Times and Irish Daily Mail plus a visit from the Six One News crew yesterday there has certainly been a buzz about Boulder!

The 2 minute segment from RTE News can be seen on RTE Player and features interviews with our very own Anne Tweedy and Robert Cullen.

Its been a joyful day here at Boulder Towers with the brilliant news of our double win at The Childrens Baftas last night.

The Amazing World of Gumball swept the boards with wins in both the Best Animation and Best Writer categories.

The series was the first original production by Cartoon Network Europe?co-produced by?Boulder Media and Dandelion Productions and in association with Studio Soi and we hope the accolades bring even more great projects to Irish shores.

The Broadcast Awards 2012

The nominees for the 2012 Broadcast Awards have just been published and we are delighted to announce that The Amazing World of Gumball has been nominated in the best Childrens Programme category!

With more nominees than ever to be considered this looks to be the toughest year yet and Gumball faces stiff competition from other childrens favourites Grizzly Tales, Horrible Histories, House of Anubis, The Itch of the Golden Nit and The Sarah Jane Adventures.

?Last years winner in this category was the star studded BBC One adaptation of The Gruffalo which was produced by Magic Light Pictures in association with our Gumball cohorts Studio Soi. So heres hoping they have the winning formula to make it two in a row!

The awards will be held on the 2nd of February 2012 and with the Childrens Baftas this weekend and this brand new nomination we are finding it hard to get our work done with so many fingers crossed!
